Llyn Tegid in Bala will play host to this year’s Swim Wales Challenge Series National Event on Saturday 10th September
The stunning open water location in North Wales offers the opportunity compete or try competitive open water swimming for the first time in the stunning setting of Snowdonia National Park.
The Swim Wales Challenge Series event at Bala will play host to both elite age group races and open competitions, offering something for people of all ages and abilities to take part in. Swimmers can take part in a variety of distances, including 1km, 3km and 5km in our Open Races as well as a 2km team relay.
This event is open to all, no matter where you are from. Existing Swim Wales members can book their places now, and those who want to take part in this single event can sign-up with the Swim Wales Open Water Membership bolt-on, which unlocks insurance cover and a host of exclusive member benefits, including a rewards package worth more than £500 a year.
As well as hosting the Swim Wales National Open Water Championships, where the Welsh champion will be crowned across four age groups, athletes entering the age-grade races will be battling it out for Swim Wales Open Water Championships medals and honours.
