1. Information about us and how to contact us

1.1 Who we are: We are Swimtime Training Academy Limited, trading as Skilltime, a company registered in England and Wales. Our company registration number is 10611595 and our registered office is at 140b Longden Coleham, Shrewsbury, SY3 7DN. Our registered VAT number is 243 781692 GB.

1.2 All references to Skilltime shall, where appropriate, include Swimtime Training Academy Limited, the office that provides you with training course(s) from time to time.

1.3 Please note that we are the provider of training courses, and as such your contract is between you and Swimtime Trading Academy Limited.

1.4 Please read these terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions tell you who we are, how we provide services to you, how you may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem and other important information.​

 

1.5 How to contact us. You can contact Skilltime by email admin@skilltime.org

 

1.6 How we may contact you. When we contact you, we will do so by writing to you at the email address you provided to us when you booked. In some cases, we may use the phone as a means of communication.

 

1.7 ”Writing” includes emails. When we use the words “writing” or “written” in these terms, this includes emails.

2. What we do

 

2.1 Training Courses – Skilltime provides a variety of courses to customers of all ages and abilities. All our Tutors are qualified to a Nationally Recognised Standard. It is important to note a learner’s development is unique, based on a range of factors including their engagement in the course and regularity of attendance. Skilltime cannot make any guarantees on the rate of progress of a learner nor for an attainment outcome.

 

2.2 Courses – Skilltime sells and provides a range of courses to support the learner in the attainment of a qualification.

 

2.3 Resources – Skilltime provides a range of educational resources to support the learning journey. These include content to help reinforce what is covered in our course sessions.

3. Course Fees – General Terms

 

3.1 Skilltime currently offers clients two ways to pay:

 

   3.1.1 Pay online via Stripe through the website

 

   3.1.2 Pay over the phone

 

   3.1.3 Closed Course – Payment required upon receipt of invoice

​

3.2 Once your booking is in place you will receive a confirmation email detailing what you have booked and providing you with links to relevant course information.

 

   3.2.1 Attendees may not be allowed to participate in any course until the fees are paid in full.

 

   3.2.2 Payment of Fees: Any course paid for, but not taken within a period of 3 months will be deemed to have been taken at which time there will be no refund offered.

4. General Terms

 

4.1 Your rights to change your mind

 

   4.1.1 In accordance with the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 you have the right to change your mind where you have purchased goods or services online.  Under these regulations, you have 14 days after the day we email you to confirm we have accepted your order during which you can change your mind and get a full refund of any monies paid to us.  To do so please contact us by email and we will arrange for the cancellation and refund of your money.

 

   4.1.2 We will refund you the price you paid us by the method you used for payment. We will make any refunds due to you as soon as possible and, in any event, within 14 days of you telling us you wish to exercise your right to change your mind.

 

 

5. Cancellations and refund policy

 

5.1 Full payment of course fee due on booking the course.  If an invoice is required a PO must be confirmed on booking.

 

5.2 Candidates who cancel less than 14 days prior to the course start date will not be eligible for a refund.

 

5.3 Candidates who cancel before more than 14 days in advance can claim a full refund less a £50 administration charge.

5.4 Method of cancellation

 

   5.4.1 Cancellations are accepted in writing only

 

   5.4.2 Please note that a message left on an answer phone or voicemail is not considered as satisfactory notice; and

 

   5.4.3 That the Skilltime offices are closed at weekends

​

   5.4.4 We reserve the right to cancel a course 10 working days prior to the course commencement date, if attendee numbers are below the minimum required.  A full refund will be issued

​

5.5 Adverse Weather Conditions  

 

   5.5.1 Unfortunately, in this country, we are often on the receiving end of some really bad weather. Heavy rain, gale force winds, snow, ice, etc! This can sometimes result in a venue being closed because staff can’t get to work. If this happens, we will let you know with as much notice as possible and arrange to transfer you to another future course

 

5.6 Medical Details/Additional Support Needs (ASN)

 

   5.6.1 Reasonable adjustment or Special consideration policies are in place

 

5.7 Valuables:

 

   5.5.1 Whilst most venues provide locker facilities Skilltime has no control over these.  Skilltime will not accept liability for the loss of or damage to any personal effects brought by a course attendee.

 

5.8 Attendance:

 

   5.8.1 Per qualification requirements

5.9 Behaviour:

 

   5.9.1 Attendees must obey all instructions and commands issued by the Tutor

 

   5.9.2 Failure to follow instructions and commands issued by the Tutor may result in you being removed from the course, with no refund of course fees

 

5.10 Dispute resolution:

 

   5.10.1 We hope you will be delighted with our service

6.1 The content of all of the pages of this website is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice.
