About the Course
This 2-hour unit provides knowledge, understanding and guidance to aquatic teachers, tutors, parents, young people, assistants, and anyone involved in the operations of learn to Swim Programmes. This is an essential unit to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and educational environment is created for participants in the aquatic activity being delivered.
We constantly review and update in line with any current legislation changes and take all of this into consideration throughout the delivery of the overall objectives. Working in line with Child Protection in Sport.
Throughout the session content will cover elements of the following. Health & safety, Policies, Frameworks, Types of Abuse, Effects of Abuse, barriers, Roles & Responsibilities, including some case studies.
Training provided meets industry standards.
PRE-REQUISITES
Be 16 years of age or older
Learners must have all pre-requisites in place before the start of the course. Qualification certificates cannot be issued if all pre-requisites are not met before the start of the course, post course submissions will not be accepted.
